To register as a dealer, you must meet all requirements imposed by federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Otay Auto Auction registration requirements and rules apply in addition.

Failure to pay the Drop Fee will result in loss of deposit and suspension of bidding privileges.
A registered bidder may authorize additional buyers to bid on their behalf. Each additional bidder requires completion of the Additional Bidder form and an additional deposit. The number of authorized buyers per account is at the sole discretion of Otay Auto Auction.
Guests must be 18 years or older, accompanied by a registered dealer, and must register for a One-Day Guest Pass. Passes must be displayed at all times and only allow admittance. Guests are the responsibility of the registered dealer.
Preview is available one day before the auction.
Failure to pay by the deadline (Tuesday 3pm) will result in Drop Fee of your deposit. NO exceptions.
The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all bids. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the Auctioneer shall have the sole and final determination of the successful bidder or may re-offer and resell the vehicle in dispute.
All vehicles are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with NO WARRANTY. No warranty is made regarding the accuracy of any information provided (written or images). Buyers should not base bids solely on provided information. This includes, but is not limited to: year, make, model, VIN, mileage, odometer disclosure, condition, ACV, estimated repair cost, damage type, whether the car starts, and sale document. In accordance with state law, vehicles sold with regular sale document status may have salvage sale document status in their history. Buyers are responsible for previewing each vehicle and determining its condition, originality, and contents. Otay Auto Auction does not guarantee vehicles meet or can be modified to meet local emission or safety requirements. Vehicles may contain deployed airbags that have not been replaced.
Buyers and guests irrevocably and unconditionally waive and release any rights to recover from Otay Auto Auction, its representatives, employees, agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, and directors any and all damages, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses and claims thereof, whether direct or indirect, known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, arising from bodily injury, property damage, or other occurrences on Otay Auto Auction premises. Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall Otay Auto Auction be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages or lost profits related to the sale, use, or inability to use any vehicle, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Buyers and guests who are California residents waive California Civil Code §1542. Buyers agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Otay Auto Auction harmless from any and all damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from claims made by Buyer or Buyer’s guests for bodily injury or property damage occurring on Otay Auto Auction premises.
